Ready when your first scan is.
Start your first caseInitial to final, in the browser
Every plan opens as a setup you can scrub. Drag the handle to compare the original scan with the projected final position.
The simulation shows the planned setup. It does not predict biological response; the treating clinician judges that.
What a plan contains
Tooth movement
Translation, rotation, tipping, torque, intrusion, extrusion, expansion and contraction, per tooth.
Movement limits
Each stage stays inside the per-movement limits you set or we propose.
Attachments
Placement and shape chosen from the movement each tooth needs, shown on the model.
IPR
Interproximal contacts with the amount and the stage for each reduction.
Staging
Movements divided into sequential aligner stages, with the stage count per arch.
Occlusion
Upper and lower arches checked against each other at every stage.
Collision checks
Interferences between neighbouring teeth flagged before you see the plan.
Treatment simulation
The complete case from initial to final, playable stage by stage.
Movement table
Sample movement table, illustrative
| Tooth | Translation mm | Rotation ° | Stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11 | 0.8 | 4.5 | 09 |
| 12 | 1.2 | 6.0 | 12 |
| 13 | 0.6 | 2.0 | 07 |
| 21 | 0.9 | 3.5 | 10 |
| 22 | 1.4 | 8.0 | 14 |
| 23 | 0.5 | 1.5 | 06 |
Tooth numbers follow FDI notation. Every figure in a real plan comes from the setup for that case and is documented against the stage it belongs to.
The doctor stays in control
Alignodontic DPS supports the clinician. It does not replace clinical judgement, and it never moves a case past the doctor.
Doctor prescribes
Treatment objectives come from the treating clinician.
Planner builds
The planning team converts instructions into a digital setup.
Doctor reviews
The doctor examines the proposed treatment.
Doctor approves
Only the approved plan moves forward.
Digital planning is an assistive workflow. Final clinical decisions remain with the treating clinician.
How it works
Six steps from your scanner to an approved plan. The case keeps its number, its files and every version along the way.
See the full workflowStep 1: Create your case
Submit the case reference and your treatment instructions.
Step 2: Upload scans
Upper and lower intraoral scans as STL, PLY or OBJ, plus bite, photos and X-rays where useful.
Step 3: Planning
Our digital planning team prepares the treatment setup.
Step 4: Review
Open the proposed setup and stages in your browser.
Step 5: Request changes
Comment on a tooth, a stage, an attachment or an IPR contact.
Step 6: Approve
Approve the version you are happy with and proceed to production.
Why Alignodontic DPS
Digital-first workflow
Built around modern 3D dental workflows, from the scan file to the production file.
Doctor collaboration
Plans are reviewed with clinician feedback, not delivered as a finished verdict.
Structured planning
Every case follows a defined workflow with the same stations and the same records.
Revision friendly
Doctor feedback becomes a new plan version. Earlier versions stay on the case.
Production ready
Approved cases can progress toward lab production workflows without rework.
Scalable
Suitable for an individual dentist, a multi-chair clinic or a laboratory's whole intake.
Powered by modern digital dentistry
The same 3D methods your scanner and your laboratory use, applied to planning.
- 3D dental models
- Digital tooth segmentation
- Treatment simulation
- Mesh processing
- Movement analysis
- Staging

Secure case management
Case files are private to the people on the case. Nothing is public, and every action is recorded.
- Secure authentication
- Controlled case access
- Role-based permissions
- Secure file storage
- Case activity logs
- Version history
- Backup systems
Planning that travels
Digital planning is delivered as files and reviewed on screen, so it has no geography. Practices and laboratories work with Alignodontic DPS from wherever they are, in English, on their own schedule.
- Any scanner that exports a mesh
- STL, PLY and OBJ are what the workflow needs. Every mainstream intraoral scanner exports at least one of them, so the plan does not depend on which chair you bought.
- No appointment to make
- A case is submitted when it suits you and reviewed when it suits you. Nothing in the workflow requires both sides awake at once, which is what makes a twelve-hour time difference a detail rather than an obstacle.
- Reviewed in a browser
- The plan opens where you are. There is no software to install, no licence to buy, and no file to email back and forth while versions drift apart.
- One record per case
- Instructions, scans, every plan version and every comment live in the case. A colleague picking it up reads the same history you do, whichever practice they sit in.
Built for practices and labs
Alignodontic DPS was set up by an orthodontist to give clinics the planning capacity of a larger team without building one.
Every case is handled by a planner who works to your instructions and answers your comments in the case itself, so nothing is lost between an email and a phone call.
Laboratories use the same workflow for their own intake, with the treating doctor reviewing and approving each plan before production.
Ready to start your next case?
Alignodontic DPS gives dental professionals the digital planning support they need to deliver structured clear aligner workflows, while keeping the doctor in control of clinical decisions.
